As with most people we love to meet up with friends and family on a campsite, but being in the UK we can never guarantee the weather, so we opted for the Easy Camp Camp Shelter.

This is fantastic piece of kit that helped solve our rainy day problems when sitting out have a good old catch up.

The shelter came well packaged and neatly wrapped up. Upon opening we found the instructions sew in to the bag to avoid them blowing away and all poles were neatly in the bag.

Very simple to follow instructions and to erect the shelter just connect up the 6 sets of poles, all held together with threaded cord and lay them out. There are 4 long ones for the edges and 2 small ones for the centre cross. Thread them through the guides and pop them in the pins, then slide through the two cross poles and you are done.

Find your location and peg out and there you go.

If you want to make more use from the shelter they also supply it with a detachable waterproof rear tent for sleeping and storage. This is attached via toggles and clips and very easy to put in to place and great if you get an extra guest who forgot their tent! The tent area has windows, curtains, mesh ventilation and a sewn-in groundsheet. This makes is cosy for a great nights sleep and we easily fitted in a double airbed plus bags and shoes.

For those muddier sites, the shelter also comes with a detachable groundsheet meaning you are not sloshing around in the wet grass and mud.

An excellent shelter that is easy to put up, take down and is sturdy and now a staple in our camping gear when meeting friends.
